Joan Williams, 88, passed away on April 1, 2025, in Scranton, PA.
Joan is survived by Darlene Murphy – daughter and husband Ken, of Jefferson Twp, PA, Holly Clelland – daughter and husband Russ, of Cosby, TN, Dawn Radle – daughter and husband Dan, of Ridge, NY, Cindy Sorgenfrei – daughter and husband HansPeter, of East Northport, NY, David Williams – son, from Upstate, NY, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Joan is preceded in death by her beloved husband Gilbert Williams (2018), Magnus “Mike” Skaar father, Catherine “Katie McGee” Skaar – mother, brothers Richard and Thomas Skaar, and a great grandchild baby Kevin Sorgenfrei
The service for Joan will be held on Friday May 16, 2025 at Light of Christ Church of Jefferson Township, PA at 11 am, with visitation beforehand from 10 – 11.
A dual interment of Joan and husband Gil’s ashes at Walton Cemetery in Walton NY, will take place the following day (Saturday, May 17th) at 11 am, followed by a small family reception at the Rainbow Lodge.
