John Loveland

John Loveland

John “Max” Loveland, a resident of the Dunmore Healthcare Center, died late Tuesday after an illness.  His wife of 46 years is the former Kathleen Seifert.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late LeRoy and Marie Loveland.  He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and the Williamsport Technical School where he studied to be a draftsman.   Upon graduation he worked for the Gentex Corp, Ingersoll Rand and later worked as a night auditor.  He was of the Methodist faith.

Also surviving are brothers LeRoy Loveland and his wife Marie of Florida and Fred Loveland and his wife Sandy of S. Carolina; his daughter in law Renee Loveland of Waymart; grandchildren Jared and Mikayla; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his beloved children Margaret Marie and Brian J. Loveland; brothers Bruce and James “Jim” Loveland.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 17 th at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel officiated by Rev. Patricia Lee.

Friends may call from 10am until time of service.

Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery.
