John F. "Jack" Walsh III, 79, of North Abington Township, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, June 27, 2025, at the Allied Services Hospice Center after an illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Liana (Nicholas) Walsh.

Born in Scranton, Jack was the son of the late John F. Jr. and Marjorie Bronson Walsh. He was a proud graduate of Dunmore High School and the University of Scranton. A dedicated professional investment broker and advisor for over 50 years, he managed local branches for several large investment firms. Since 2000, Jack owned and operated Stonehill Investments with his son Jason, guiding countless individuals and businesses with his expertise, experience, and integrity. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army Reserves.

Jack was a loyal member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, a testament to his enduring community spirit. An avid golfer, he was known to toss a club or two on the course, a sign of his passion for the game and his intense commitment to achieving the best outcome in everything he did. He enjoyed hunting, particularly when there were steaks on the grill afterward. Above all, Jack treasured his relationships, including his decades-long friendships with those closest to him, a true reflection of his commitment to the people in his life. He always put family first, valued loyalty in others, and was a role model in demonstrating high integrity conduct in all things professional and personal.

In addition to his wife, Liana, Jack is survived by his loving children: daughter Jennifer Walsh Clark; sons John F. Walsh IV; and Jason Walsh and his wife, Christina, all of North Abington Township. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Katherine (Casey), Nicholas, and Andrew Clark; Paige and Jack Walsh; and Gavin Walsh.

A celebration of his life will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Joseph's Center or Griffin Pond Animal Shelter in Jack's memory.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vanston & James Funeral Home, Scranton, to whom we are deeply grateful.
