Joseph Turouski

Joseph Turouski, 76, of Waymart, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon at Wayne Woodlands Manor.

Son of the late John and Kathryn Turouski. He was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School. A United States Army Veteran, he served for one year in Germany. Joe loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed visiting the local tavern to play shuffle board and cards with his friends. An avid sports fan, Joe enjoyed watching many different sports on TV, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Surviving are his son Joesph Turouski of Equinunk; his twin sister Margaret “Peggy” Field and her husband Walter of Lake Ariel; nephew Kevin Field and his wife Terri; niece Colleen Austin; great niece Shawna Ross and her husband Joe and their children Evan and Emma.

He was preceded in death by his brother Paul Turouski.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wayne Woodlands Manor for the kindness and care given to Joe during his time there.

Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
