Judith Mae Bird, 63, of Carbondale and formerly of Philadelphia and Colorado died Tuesday evening following an illness surrounded by her family. Her fiancé is Bob Dougherty.
Born Aug 7, 1954 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Constance Rogers Bird. She was a graduate of Roxborough High School Class of 1972. Prior to her illness she was an Office Manager.
Judy’s joys in life were grandchildren, riding her Harley Davidson, skiing, crafting, traveling, reading, and her beloved dog Bridget. She was a special person with a large heart and will be missed by all.
Surviving is her daughter Alicia Hendricks of East Greenville; sisters Susie Lewis and her husband Steve Thiel of Cincinnati, OH, Jill McCarthy of Bensalem, Pat Reed and her husband Jamie of Malvern, and Nancy Bird of Maple Shade; brothers Bill Kane and his wife Barbara of Johnstown, Ken Bird and his wife Griselda of Barstow, CA, and Greg Bird of Atlantic City; grandchildren Lauren and Jenna Danner; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a brother-in-law Mike McCarthy.
Private Cremation took place in Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
