Karen Dugan

Karen A. Dugan, Ledgedale, died Saturday after an illness at home surrounded by her family.   Her husband is Kevin Dugan.

Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of Karen McMasters.  She was a member of the St. Thomas More – St Mary’s Roman Catholic Parish Community.   Prior to her illness she worked for years on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

The family would like to thank the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their care and especially Karen’s oncology nurse Judy McDonough and her husband Billy for their dedication and care they showed.   “Judy, You Rock!”

Also surviving are children Raymond J., Matthew J., Reilly M. and Ryan M. Dugan;  sisters Irene Halligan and Barbara Birks; a brother Frederick Birks;  nieces; nephews; cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, St. Mary’s Church Rd., Ledgedale by Rev. Stephen Stavoy, pastor.

All attending are invited to go directly to the church.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to the Dugan Children High School Education Fund c/o Holy Cross High School  501 East Drinker St. Dunmore, Pa. 18512
