Kathryn Kretzschmar, The Hideout, Lake Ariel, passed away Sunday afternoon June 21, 2026 at home surrounded by her family.

Kathryn was born March 17, 1955, Teaneck, New jersey and was the daughter of the late Reynold and Florence Kahmann and was a graduate of the Ridgefield Park Public Schools. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by the Western Wayne School District as School Van Driver.

 Surviving are Kathryn's children Glen, Shaun, Amanda, Kimberly and Krystina; grandchildren Marquis, Kevin, Nicholas, Shayne, Katalyna, Michael and Christopher. Also surviving are her siblings Luann, Michael and Holly.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters Stephanie, Faye and Cynthia.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday June 27, 2026 from 5-7pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel to celebrate the life of Kathryn. 

Cremation will follow in the lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
