Obituary

Kenneth Michael Kellar "Ken," 67, of Hamlin passed away May 16th 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Ewing, New Jersey in 1959 and moved to Hamlin, in 1992 where he resided until his death. Ken's passion for the road included operating a tow truck early in his career in Ewing, New Jersey then when moving to Pennsylvania he drove truck for Privacy Pines of Greentown, which led him to owning and establishing KMK Enterprises where he drove from East Coast to West Coast and completed his on the road travels with Dimino Bus Company as a school bus driver until 2020.Being true to his love of driving, Ken loved motorcycles, quads and boats. If it had an engine Ken would run it. He also enjoyed spending may hours mowing his lawn and took great pride in maintaining and building new things on his property.

Ken is survived by his wife of 31 years Christine Kellar; a daughter Kathleen Saar and her husband Jacob of Lake Ariel; his brothers Arlie Kellar, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Ewing, New Jersey and Christopher Kellar of Rivesville, West Virginia as well as a brother-in-law Robert J Jones of Mercerville, New Jersey; sister-in-law Cynthia Jones of Hawley; brother-in-law Keith Sabol of Clarkston, Michigan; 2 grandsons Levi and Briar Saar; several nieces and nephews; special daughter through love Carreen Edwards and her children Kera and McKennah Edwards.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother and father Arlie and Mavis Kellar; sister Cynthia Kellar; father and mother-in-law Robert G and Cecelia Jones; sister-in-law Cecelia Sabol.

A Blessing Service will be held Friday in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel at Noon.

Friends and family are invited to call Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the blessing service.

Interment will follow in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions be made to Dessin Animal Shelter in Honesdale, Pa.
