Lawrence Ciaffone

Lawrence Ciaffone, 100, of the Hideout, Lake Ariel, died Tuesday evening at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center following an illness. His wife was the former Mary Regina who died 1981.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Carl and Carmela Motto, he had worked as a mechanic for the New York City Transit. He was a member of St. Thomas More Church, Lake Ariel. He enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving are a daughter Carmel Romani and her husband Lawrence of Lake Ariel; a son Carl Caiffone of California; grandchildren Cythnia Delistovitch and Lawrence Romani, Jr.; great-grandchildren Thomas and Courtney Delistovich.

He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters and a daughter-in-law Martha Ciaffone.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30am in St. Thomas More Church 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Monday 8:30am to 9:30am at the Church.
