Lawrence R Weidner

Lawrence R. Weidner, born on May 16, 1948, passed away on April 25, 2025.

Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War, where he received numerous commendations including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Medal of Honor for his courage and service.

He was a dedicated mechanic and self-employed at Weidner & Son Machine Shop. He was known for his skillful workmanship and unwavering commitment to his craft. He will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him. His contributions to his family and community will not be forgotten.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Luanne Westbrook Weidner; his son, Mark Weidner and wife Jaime; daughter Jennifer Weidner-Clark, PA-C and her husband Frank; his brother, Daniel Weidner. grandchildren Dale Weidner, Mahlon Clark, Joshua Clark and Anna Lee Rake.

He was preceded in death by his parents John J. Weidner and Ruth Smith Sedelchak; his beloved children Larry Weidner, Jr, John Weidner and Allison Weidner; siblings John Weidner Jr., Russell Weidner and Michelle Weidner

VFW and U.S. Army Military honors will be rendered Saturday May 10, 2025 at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel PA.

Friends may call Saturday morning for 10am until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
