Leonard DeMoreland, 84, of Jefferson Township, passed away at home on August 17, 2026. Born May 17, 1942 in Bucks County, PA, he was son of the late Jerome and Elsie DeMoreland, and was a graduate of Bucks County Public Schools. Following graduation, Leonard had a fulfilling career as a Mechanic, most recently at Clark Forklift. He was a "Jack of all trades" and a master of all of them, having the skill to repair almost anything. In the late sixties-early 70's Len and his daughter Dawn were speed skaters and traveled to many states to relay race for trophies and medals. He also had his good buddies Dick, John, Buggy, and Mike on his team. Len also loved to hunt and fish with his wife before she passed and with his grandson Christopher. He also enjoyed his hunting trips to Maine and out west with his nephew John and friend Steve, and fishing at Lake Ontario with his boat.
He was not afraid of death because of his love for Jesus Christ and enjoyed spreading the word of God. He was a proud Christian man and lived his life by the Word of God and would help all who asked for his help. His undying love for his daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family will never die. He will be missed dearly, but he is with his beloved wife, Marie, whom he missed and loved so much, his mother and father, and sister and brother whom he had never had the chance to meet, and in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Leonard is survived by his daughter Dawn Moylan (James "Jamie"); grandchildren Chris Bell, Adrianna DeMoreland (Daryl), Vanessa Moylan, and Alyssa Sheare (Brandon); great-grandchildren Tenley, Max, and Aislyn; as well as two sisters Susan Shuss and Jeri Johannessen; a brother Frank DeMoreland; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
Leonard is preceded in death by his sister Edythe Reahm and brother Jerome DeMoreland.
Services for Leonard will be held at the James H. Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, August 22 at 11AM, Pastor Dan Henwood, officiating. Friends may call from 9AM until the start of the service. Interment will take place following the service at Simon Cemetery.
