Leroy E Black

LeRoy E. Black, Jefferson Twp., passed away Saturday morning in the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at the Geisinger Community Medical Center after an illness.

Born in Kansas City, KS he was the son of Ruth Frisbie Black of Scranton and the late Edward Black. He attended the Cortez United Methodist Church. He was employed by Barton Ceilings Company in the drywall construction industry.

Surviving are a daughter Christine Peter and her husband Joseph of Lake Ariel; a son Charles Catania and his wife Sue of Blakely; replica watches brothers Larry Black and his wife Judith and Gary Black and his wife Marianne all of Jefferson Twp. ; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 6 pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel. Services will be officiated by Rev Art Yetter, pastor of the Cortez United Methodist Church.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4 pm until time of service.

Cremation will follow in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.
