Lisa M. Aleckna

Lisa M. Aleckna, 54, of Lake Ariel, passed away Saturday, May 3rd at Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Her loving husband of 30 years is James Aleckna Jr.

Born in Honesdale, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Marie Hill – Beck. She was a graduate of Western Wayne Class of 1989. Currently, Lisa was employed in the maintenance division at The Hideout.

Also surviving is her daughter Kristine Figueroa and her husband Matthew of Maplewood; sons Donald Aleckna and his companion Megan Bogansky of Freeland and Cody Aleckna of Lake Ariel; sisters Brandi Botempo and her husband Emil of Milford, NJ and Marianne Hill – Strackbein and her companion Don Christman of Waymart; a brother John Hill of Waymart; grandchildren Mayson Aleckna, Joshua Figueroa, Anivia Figueroa, Jayden Aleckna, and Landon Aleckna; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
