Lois J. Franc Shaffer

Lois J. Franc, Lake Ariel, died Monday in the Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness.  She was the widow of Benjamin A. Franc who died in 2014.

Born in Lake Ariel, she was the daughter of the late Everett Shaffer and Gertrude Hill.  She was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School and worked for many years for the Weis Supermarkets.

Surviving are her children Kathleen Enslin, Timothy Franc and Cheryl Layden; sisters Elaine Stevens and Dorothy Hannah; grandchildren; great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Eric Enslin and a son in law John Laskowski.

Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home.
