Louis Santiso

Louis Santiso, 78, of Lake Ariel, passed away Monday afternoon at Regional Hospital of Scranton following an illness. His loving wife of 57 years is the former Carolyn Gerlach.

Born in Jessup, Pa, he was the son of the late Joseph and Yolanda Santiso. He graduated from Lake Consolidated School and earned a Bachelor’s in Business Management and an MBA in Production and Operations Management from the University of Scranton. For 46 years, he worked for PPL and retired as the Northeast Regional Manager. He was a member of the St. Thomas More / St. Mary’s Parish Community. A United States Army Veteran, he honorably served in the Vietnam War.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman, but he found the most joy being with his family.

Also surviving are his daughters Linda Santiso of Philadelphia and Karen Santiso of Falls Church, VA; sons Brian Santiso of Philadelphia and Steven Santiso and his partner Julie Moyer of Philadelphia; sisters Dolores Reilly of Elizabethtown, Lillian Getz and her husband Gerry of Lake Ariel, and Joan Kearney and her husband Jim of Sterling; granddaughters Zoe and Remi Santiso of Philadelphia; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister Gloria Brooks; brothers Joe, Peter, Danny, Tony, and Tom.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
