Lula Heater

Lula Christine “Chris” Heater, Honesdale, died Tuesday January 9, 2024 at home following
an illness. Her husband of 49 years was Ronald D. Heater died in November 2023.
Born in Gilmer, TX, daughter of the late Ace and Christie Hill. She attended schools in Texas
and had worked as a dental assistant.
Surviving her are her daughter Dawn Bowen, step-daughters Kimlyn Bruner and Caroline
Knee; grandchildren Marissa, Jaclyn, Jason, Royce, Danielle, Nancy, Chrisenta, Dennis, Jr.,
Selina, Keith, Ryan, Kayla, Kirstin, Danny and Kassy; great grandchildren and great great
grand grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter Vikie Hogue and step-son Ronald N. Heater.
A celebration of Chris’ life will be held Saturday, January 20 th , at 11am in the James Wilson
Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with words of remembrance by family and friends.
Friends may call Saturday morning from 10am until the time of the service in the funeral
home.
There will also be funeral services at a date and time to be announced in the Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah’s Witnesses, Honesdale.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions be made to the donor’s
favorite charity.
