Mabel Leshuk, 97, of Scranton, passed away Tuesday morning surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 54 years, Steven Leshuk passed away in 2002.

Born in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Vasiliki Camberis - Stavrou. She was a graduate of Manchester Central High School Class of 1946.

Mabel was the epitome of class and grace. She had a passion for jazz music and enjoyed seeing her favorite artists in concert. She enjoyed seeing Broadway shows and exploring New York City with her "Jenn". She tended to her beautiful garden and manicured lawn. Mabel and Jenn spent countless Saturdays having their "girls day out". She was proud of her Greek heritage.

Surviving is her son Robert Leshuk and his wife Jean of Scranton; a sister Eleanor Tsivoulis of Manchester, NH; grandchildren Jennifer Beppler and her husband Stephen of Covington Twp. and Michelle Connor and her husband James of Roaring Brook Township, great-grandchildren Madison, Morgan, and Megan Beppler; Lily, Kacy, and Luke Connor; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters Mary Gilbert and Kay Nelson; brothers Charles, John, James, and Michael Stavrou.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Charles Deck, Dr. Douglas Klamp, the Staff of Traditional Home Health and Hospice and the Gardens of Green Ridge for their exceptional and compassionate care of Mabel.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Mabel's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of Vanston and James Funeral Home, Scranton.
