In Loving Memory of Mary April
Mary April passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family. She lived a life rooted in kindness, quiet strength, and deep compassion for others.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Julia; her devoted husband, John; her precious son, Joseph Matthew; her beloved brother, Henry; her dear sisters, Angeline Kobylarz, Genevieve Koziol, and Helen Koziol; and her adored son-in-law, Campbell Stewart House II. Though many whom she loved went before her, the bonds they shared remain eternal.
She is survived by her loving brother, Joseph Danisiewicz, and his wife Jane; her brother-in-law, Eugene Kobylarz; her deeply devoted daughter, Juliana; and her adored grandsons, Michael and Joseph, who brought her endless pride and joy. Mary also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly, as well as special lifelong friends who held a meaningful place in her heart.
Mary retired from the Times Herald-Record and later moved from her longtime home in Florida, New York, to the Pocono Mountains-near where she was born in Plymouth, Pennsylvania. This return to her roots brought her comfort and peace.
She found joy in reading, prayer, writing thoughtful notes and cards to those she loved, and giving generously to the many charities she felt deeply passionate about. Above all else, Mary treasured time spent with her family and loved ones. Her faith, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
Mary will be remembered for her grace, her devotion, and the quiet way she made the world around her a kinder place. She will be deeply missed and forever alive in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause close to her heart.
