Michael J. Fitzpatrick of The Hideout, Lake Ariel died Tuesday evening at Scranton Health Care Center following an illness. His wife is the former Mary Fogarty.

Born in the Bronx, NY, son of the late John F. and Catherine Fraine Fitzpatrick, he was employed s a Bus Driver for the Manhattan – Bronx Surface Transit Authority and retired from the International Bus Union. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Also surviving are a son Christopher F. of Terrytown, NY; a nephew Ryan Fitzpatrick; and nieces Andrea Reynolds, Dawn Karaty, and Laura Newman.

He was preceded in death by a brother Edward.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00am in St. Thomas More Church 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Friday from 9:00-11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
