Michael Hreha

Michael Hreha, Lake Ariel, passed away Tuesday in the Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness, with his wife of 30 years Patti Schmidt Hreha at his side.

Born 1948 in Jefferson Twp, he was the son of the late John Hreha and Mildred Landon Hreha and was a graduate of North Pocono High School.  Michael served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was the proud owner of the Hreha and Son Construction Company.

Michael loved woodworking, gun collecting, poker, and fishing.  His last passion was restoring a 1948 Ford F1 pickup truck in Race Red.

Also surviving are his son John Hreha and his companion Kristen Anderson.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Cy Bird.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held Sunday at 2pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel officiated by Rev. William Schneider.

Friends may call Sunday from 12pm (Noon) until time of the service.

Military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the religious service by the United States Navy Funeral Honors Detail.
