Michael John Vanston

Michael John "Scooby" Vanston, 61, of Archbald, passed away suddenly on April 24, 2026 at home.

Michael was born October 4, 1964 in Dickson city to Mary nee Kane Vanston and her husband the late Eugene L. Vanston. Michael attended Mid Valley High School, class of 1982. He then continued his education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Penn State for his real estate licensing and career. Throughout his life he was an avid and dedicated Vikings and Phillies fan. 

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by a daughter Laurelai Vanston.

Also surviving are Brothers; Timothy Vanston and wife Cheryl, Throop, Robert Vanston and wife Marianne, Old Forge, nephews, and cousins. 

A Mass to celebrate Michael's life will be held at St. Mary's Visitation Church Dickson City at 10am Wednesday, April 29th.
