Monica J. Reimer

Monica J. Reimer, 90, nee Blasko, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve morning at a nursing home in Brooklyn. Prior to her retirement, Monica worked at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn as a Nurse's Aide. She was an inspiration to all around her as she treated every patient and their families with loving care and respect.

Monica's pride and joy were her two sons. She worked hard all her life to raise her sons, as a single parent, and give them a good Catholic education.

Monica would often be found in the kitchen where she prepared gourmet meals on a very tight budget. Monica also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and all kinds of sewing. Many family members and extended family members still enjoy the comfort and warmth of her blankets.

Monica was predeceased by her brother David Blasko and sister Rosalie Bias.

Monica is survived by her son John and his wife Kathleen, son Robert, grandson Kevin and his wife Stephanie and her beloved great-grandchildren Sydney and Josh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 18th at 11am in St Mary's Church St Mary's Church Road Ledgedale by Rev. Stephen Bosomafi. 

Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
