Nancy H. Davis, Lake Ariel, passed away Saturday evening, July 8th, in St. Mary’s Villa Nursing Home where she had resided.  She was the widow of Warren N. Davis, VMD, who passed away in 2019.  At the time of his passing, the couple had been married 67 years.

Born August 15, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Edna Greer Holden.  She was a graduate of the Lower Merion Senior High School and continued her studies at the Pennsylvania State University.  She also attended the Katharine Gibbs School in New York City, enrolling in the Special Courses for College Women.  Nancy had been employed by General Electric in New York City, as an executive secretary for the Curtis Publishing Company in Philadelphia, and as a Library Assistant in the Western Wayne School District for 25 years.  In the early years of Warren’s veterinary practice, she was his secretary, business manager, and assistant.  Never one to sit idle, in her retirement, Nancy volunteered at the high school library in the Western Wayne School District and in the Medical Records Department at Wayne Memorial Hospital.   She was dedicated to attending the Grace United Methodist Church, Maplewood.

Surviving are daughters, Linda Edwards and husband Al of Jefferson Township, and Becky Beck of Roaring Brook Township; sons, David Davis of Beaverton, OR, and Robert Davis of Montrose; grandchildren, Stacy Klemke and husband Ken, Cary Laboranti and husband Tim, Todd Edwards, Andrew Beck and wife Tracy, Amanda Fidiam and husband Bob, and Adam Davis and fiancé Natasha Konanahalli; great grandchildren, Cobi Edwards, Jake and Mia Laboranti, Olivia and Jaxon Fidiam, Lawson and Charlotte Beck, and Abram Edwards.

A very special thank you to all the nurses and aides at St. Mary’s Villa Nursing Home who are dedicated to providing endless compassion and care to those in their most fragile stage of life. The family is also especially grateful to David in the activities department who, in her final two months, made Nancy smile and laugh on a daily basis. The kindness and compassion he showed her will never be forgotten.

Cremation took place at the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

Private Inurnment, Maplewood Evangelical Cemetery, Maplewood.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and under the direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
