Narendra Bhailal Patel, 78, of Dunmore passed away on March 3, 2026, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, from a long and strong battle with terminal illness. He was the son of late Bhailal Patel and late Jadaben Patel. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, whose steady presence and generous heart touched all who knew him.
Born in Gujarat India, Narendra immigrated to the United States with his wife in 2001. He settled and proudly built his life in Pennsylvania. Like many of his generation, he embodied and carried the spirit of courage, determination, his deep love for family, hard work and sacrifice, creating opportunities for his family through dedication and perseverance. He was a proud and supportive father and grandfather who found great joy in family gatherings during holidays and spending time with grandkids, which brought him immense joy and pride. Narendra had immense love for music, chess, traveling, cricket, and exploring different flavors of food and cuisines. He was always positive and always smiling.
He is survived by his wife Jyotsnaben Patel, his two children, Ravi Patel (Prabhuli) of Dunmore, Gayatri Patel (Kirti) of Illinois, his sisters, Chandrakanta Desai and Geeta Patel (Navinchandra) of Florida, his sister-in-law Madhuben Umedbhai Patel of India, his grandchildren, Aarush, Parin, Ronak, Deepen, and his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 7, 2026 from 11am to 1pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
Procession to the onsite crematory and cremation will take place at the end of the service in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Wilson Funeral Home under the proud and dedicated direction of Charles Newcomb, Hindu Community Liason and Funeral Home Associate.
