Neil Kalaus, age 76, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 16, after becoming ill at his home.

Born in 1950 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Neil was the son of the late Raymond and Eleanor (Durkin) Kalaus.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Barbara (Davis) Kalaus; his brother, Mark Kalaus and his wife, Colleen; his sister, Lynn Price; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Brown Davis; as well as several brother and sisters-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.He had two sons Christian and Jason.

Neil was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kenneth Davis, and his brother-in-law, William Price.

Neil truly enjoyed making people laugh. He was a devoted fan of Notre Dame football, the Cleveland Browns, Labatt Blue and ice hockey. He and his wife created many special memories together over the years.

An “Ode to Neil” celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions in Neil’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
