Patricia E. Memet, 58, of Lake Ariel, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 8th at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.

Born in Oyster Bay, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Visco - Memet. She was a graduate of North Babylon High School on Long Island.

Growing up in North Babylon, NY, Patricia loved to dance, laugh, sing, and read. She was known for her lively, selfless, motherly, and caring personality. She would light up any room she entered. She loved to decorate, especially for Halloween. Her greatest loves and joy were her family, her beloved son and grandchildren whom she would often speak of to anyone and everyone who would listen about how proud of them she was and how much she loved them. Patricia was selfless, often giving to others and offering comfort and advice to anyone in her life, whenever it was needed, or a shoulder to cry on. If she had just a dollar in her pocket and someone less fortunate needed it, she was the type of person to give that last dollar to them, no questions asked. She loved deeply, to know her was to love her, and she touched countless lives, she will be forever missed and cherished, a true angel. 

Surviving are her son Anthony Cosie and his wife Christina of Lindenhurst, NY; brother Joseph Memet, Jr. and his wife Theresa of Deer Park, NY; and aunt Lucy Tarnell of Bethpage, NY; grandchildren Anthony, Jr., Nicholas, and Isabella Cosie; companion Salvatore Cammarata of Lake Ariel; 1 niece and 2 nephews.

Private cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience for the family. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to, and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
