Paul S. Jones

Paul S Jones, Land O’ Lakes, Florida, formerly of Jefferson Twp, passed away July 9th, 2025, at the home of his son after an illness. His wife was the former Joan Black who passed away in 2003.

Paul was born February 3rd, 1935, in Gravity, Wayne County, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Paul E and Francis A Kimble Jones. He was a member of the former Cortez United Methodist Church. Prior to his retirement, Paul had worked for 42 years for the former Katz Manufacturing Company in Honesdale and for the Butler Disposal Company for 24 years.

He loved fishing and made many trips to NY and Canada to do so. He was also a champion stock car driver at Honesdale Fairgrounds, Penn Can speedway, Bone Stadium and Moc-A-Tec Speedway . He loved being on the water and taking everyone he could for boat rides up and down the river where he lived.

Surviving are his son Paul E Jones of Land O’ Lakes Florida; brothers Clifford Jones of Matamoras, and Charles Jones of Lake Ariel; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters Jean Evans, Loretta Perry and Myrtle Beckendorf; brothers Arthur and Ernest Jones.

Graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the Fairview Memorial Park Elmhurst.
