Paul J. Michko

Paul J. Michko of Waymart passed away Tuesday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. His wife was the former Margaret Startzell, who died in 2009.

Born in Derby, CT, son of the late August M. and Gertrude J. Derrick Michko, he was a graduate of Western Wayne High School Class of 1976 and he earned an associate’s degree from Lincoln Technical Institute. He had worked with computers and electronics as a quality assurance engineer. Known for his passion for photography, he had an artistic spirit that inspired not only beautiful photos, but also poetry, drawings, and countless other creative projects.

Surviving are daughters Lindsay and Amanda Michko, both of Boulder, CO; a sister Patty Michko of Waymart; a brother Carl and his wife Lauren of Honesdale; and nieces and nephews Amelia, Finn, and Jack Michko.

Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
