Rafael Baca

Rafael Baca, 53, of Yonkers, NY, passed away Saturday afternoon.

Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Tito Cortez-Toro and Ernestina Morel – Baca. After graduating High School, he earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Bronx Community College.

He enjoyed collecting anything that had to do with dragons and was a movie buff. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his friends.

Surviving are sisters Marilyn Macias of Lake Ariel and Jacqueline Nowacki and her husband Chester of Lake Ariel; brothers Alejandro Baca and his wife Polly of Las Vegas, NV, Melvin Baca of Gulf Breeze, Fl, and Leonardo Morel – Baca of Yonkers, NY; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to thank Rosie Blake for her long-time friendship and care of Rafael.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 334 St. Mary Church Rd. Lake Ariel with services by Rev. Stephen Bosomafi, Pastor.

All planning to attend the mass are asked to go directly to the church.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4pm – 7pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
