It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Biss on April 13, 2025, at the age of 89. Born January 22, 1936, in Passaic, New Jersey to the late Peter and Anna Biss- Raymond’s journey through life took him on a path filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Raymond was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, Joyce Biss. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, where family and friends became the highlight of their lives. As a proud father to Joseph and his wife Brenda, Raymond and his wife Laura, and Glenn and his wife Colleen, he instilled values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. His laughter and wisdom will forever resonate in their hearts.

Raymond adored his grandchildren, Stacy, Jamie, Kacey, Joseph Jr. and Evan and was a proud great-grandfather of Lucas, Adriana, MJ, Nico, Cadence, Giavanna, Taylor and Ariella. He cherished the moments spent with them, celebrating milestones big and small, and his legacy of love will be carried on through them.

A dedicated accountant by profession, Raymond spent many years at Rice & Verblaauw, where his keen mind and attention to detail earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His contributions to the accounting field were met with pride and professionalism.

In honoring Raymond’s life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 22 at 11AM at Saint Thomas More Church, Lake Ariel.

As we reflect on Raymond’s life, we find comfort in the memories he created and the love he generously shared. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him-an everlasting reminder of the joy that comes from family and connection.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Raymond’s name, ensuring that his legacy of kindness and generosity continues to shine.
