Raymond Z. Roemer

Raymond Roemer, of Hamlin, died peacefully Sunday afternoon at his home. His wife of 67 years is the former Gloria Miller.
Born in Newark, NJ he was the son of the late Rudolph and Olga Krantz Roemer.

Prior to retirement he was a Parts Manager at American Motors and was a Custodian at the Wallenpaupack School District. He was a member of the Honesdale Bible Tabernacle Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Kearny, NJ. He was a US Army Veteran.

He had very strong beliefs, loved his family and his country. He was an avid NY Giants fan. He loved camping with his family. He coached little league baseball in Kearny, NJ and was the drummer in his band Ray Roemer and the cosmic Ray’s.

Also surviving are daughters Dale Neal and her companion Kerry Ronne of Toms River, NJ, Debra Rozema and her husband Robert of Lakeville, and Dawn Lindia and her husband Peter of Neshanic Station, NJ; sons Raymond Roemer and his wife Patricia of Kearny, NJ, and Steve Roemer of Randolph Twp, NJ; daughter-in-law Jacqueline Burgio of Montvill, NJ; 11 grandchildren ; 10 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death brothers Norman and Eugene Roemer; a sister Marie Wayte; and son-in-law Charles Neal.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 6 pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, Pa with services by Rev. Sal Santoli.

Friends may call from 4 pm until time of service.

Cremation to follow at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hamlin Fire & Rescue Co. PO Box 116, Hamlin, Pa 18427.
