Rev. Roger Grove YoderFebruary 15, 2026Rev. Roger Grove Yoder, Waymart, formerly of Mansfield, went home to his Lord and Savior Sunday morning in the Ellen Memorial Healthcare Center after an illness. His devoted wife of 28 years is Barbara Moss Hotchkin Yoder. 

Rev. Yoder was born August 1, 1952 in Camden, New Jersey and was the son of the late Byron and Margaret Traver Yoder and was educated in Pennsauken schools. Prior to his retirement Rev. Yoder served as a minister in the United Methodist Church for 42 years. He continued his relationship with the Lord after his retirement as a member of the Hamlin Assembly of God Church, Hamlin. 

Also surviving are his children Susan Jones and her husband Hodge, Bethany Benko and her husband Benji, Kathleen Yoder and her husband Mike, Joshua Yoder and his wife Maryellen, and David Yoder and his wife Christine; stepson Christopher Hotchkin; sixteen grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; a brother John Yoder and his wife Sue; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Nelson Yoder.Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11am in the Hamlin Assembly of God 613 Easton Turnpike, Hamlin officiated by Rev. Ken Claflin, pastor.

Friends may call Saturday morning from 10am until the time of service.

Interment, private and at the convenience of the family.
