Richard “The Dude” Croney, 58, of Lake Ariel, passed away Monday, July 17 th at home. His loving wife of 26 years is the former Deborah Hatton.
Born in Dumont, NJ, he was the son of the late Bertrum and Sarah Gordon Croney. Prior to his illness, he worked as an automotive mechanic at Pranzo’s Auto Service in Lakeville.
Dude was a car and Harley Davidson enthusiast. He also enjoyed hunting and camping with family and friends.
Also surviving are his children Samantha Croney of Scranton, Shannon Croney of Saratoga, Wyoming, Makayla Croney of Greentown, and Thomas Croney of Lake Ariel; his siblings Dennis, Mary, Teri, Vinny, Arlene, Robbie, Linda, and Ruthie; his grandchildren Clayton, Caroline, Dahlia, and Miller; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Nora, Tommy, and Diane.
Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory in the James Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
