Rick Allen

Frederick (Rick) C. Allen, of Lake Ariel, originally from Oyster Bay, LI., died Sunday evening at his home in the hideout. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Christine C. Allen and a stepson Brett Scholer.

Born March 11, 1938 in Williston Park New Jersey, he was the son of the late Clifford and Jennie Yavoski Allen. Rick was a proud Coast Guard Veteran and was a heating and plumbing specialist in Long Island. He was also a mechanic, a boat enthusiast, and an all-around Jack of all trades. Rick was Past Commander and Chaplin of the American Legion Post 694 in Northport NY.

He and his wife built a large log home and finished off the inside after the shell was built. It was a true labor of love.

Also surviving are three other children.

A funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
