Robert Ely

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Ely, a beloved husband, son, father, brother, uncle and friend, who passed away on October 5, 2025 at the age of 57. 

Born August 2, 1968 in Queens, NY, Robert embodied kindness and selflessness, always ready to help those in need. He was the owner and operator of Call-A-Car, a medical transportation company that served countless individuals, ensuring they received dignified care. Robert's journey took him to Lake Ariel, PA, where he created a loving home with his devoted wife, Gina Florio-Ely and beloved daughter Sydney. 

He will be deeply missed by his family, including his parents, Leslie and Marjorie Ely, who cherished him profoundly.

Also surviving are Robert's Sisters Kathleen Olmstead and her husband Jim, Marjorie Nadich and her husband Nate, Holly Connelly and her husband Matthew, as well as a brother James Ely.

Robert was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather James Grogan, with whom he shared a special bond.

In honoring Robert's memory, a memorial service will be held at the James H. Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd., Lake Ariel, on Sunday, October 12 at 1PM. Friends and Family may call from 11AM until the start of the service. All are welcome to join Robert's family in celebrating the life of a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many.

As we reflect on the beautiful moments shared with Robert, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to inspire us all. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love that will forever remain in our hearts.
