Robert E Kleeman Jr., 86, of Dunmore, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2025. Born on May 7, 1939, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Esther and Robert Kleeman Sr. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Adeline Kleeman.

Bob, known as "Lefty" to some, was a proud graduate of Scranton Central High School and went on to attend Keystone College. He served his country honorably in the United States Army before embarking on a long and dedicated career with PG&W and later with PAWC. After retirement he volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 10 years.

Throughout his life, Bob found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed many rounds of golf over the years. He loved taking care of his garden and sharing his vegetables with his neighbors. His love for nature was matched only by his devotion to those around him. Known for his kindness and generosity, Robert cherished time spent with family and friends. He enjoyed attending and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and attending Penguins hockey games. Bob served for many years as the Scoutmaster of Troop 84 in Scranton and was a brotherhood member of Amad'hai Lodge 642 (now the Lowwapaneu Lodge 191). He received the George Meany 1991 scouting award from the Scranton Central Labor Union.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Mildred "Dolly" Coleman; his children: Lynelle Spitzer and her husband Joe, Kimberly Nelson and her husband Mike and Robert Kleeman III and his wife Michelle; his grandchildren: Jack Spitzer, Emily Kraus, Matthew Nelson, Jean Marie Kleeman, David Sanders, Anthony Johnson and Nasir Hickman; his great-granddaughter Mary Adeline Kraus; as well as several cousins , nieces and nephews; and many grand fur babies that will miss his treats and pets.

A funeral service will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family.

A special thank you to his daily caregiver and to Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their care.

Bob's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his legacy of warmth and generosity continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

Memorial donations can be made to Scouting America NEPA council, Meals on Wheels or Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
