Robert Smith

Robert J. Smith, 70 of Roaring Brook Twp., passed away Thursday evening at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia following an illness. His loving wife of 40 years is the former Sally Ann Schenk.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Robert and Audrey Evans Smith. He was a graduate of North Pocono High School. Prior to his illness, he was a mechanic at the Keystone Sanitary Landfill in Dunmore. He was a member of the Elmhurst – Roaring Brook Township Volunteer Fire Company.

Also surviving are his son John Robert Smith of Roaring Brook Twp.; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Hayden.

A Memorial Services will be Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 1:00PM in the Maple Lake United Methodist Church, 35 Harriet Dr, Spring Brook Twp., 18444.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
