Ronald E. Walton, 87, of Hollisterville, passed away on Friday, September 25th at home, surrounded by his family. His wife is the former Doris Parry.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Ephriam and Dorothy Cavill - Walton. He attended the Jefferson School until his senior year when he attended and graduated from Lake Consolidated School. Prior to retirement, he worked at Moore Business Forms in Honesdale for 33 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran. 

Ron and Doris celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in May. They had a very happy and blessed life together. Their favorite thing to do together was to go to Lancaster. So much so that they went twice a year for several years.

Ron was a faithful member of Wimmers Bible Fellowship church.

He loved to hunt, carve wooden birds and his leather work. After his retirement he loved to spend his time cutting and splitting firewood. He also loved spending time with his friends. Twice a day you could find Ron and the guys having coffee at the Hamlin Diner and years later at McDonalds. When Ron was no longer able to go for coffee his best friend Rich would visit him twice a week and would always bring him a coffee. This time with Rich was very special to Ron and he looked forward to it every week.

Also surviving are his sons Ronald E. Walton, Jr, and his wife Tracey of Springbrook Twp., and Troy Walton and his wife Shannon of Hollisterville; brothers Robert Walton of Jefferson Twp., and Dale Walton and his wife Sally of Alabama; grandchildren Kayla, R.J., and Tori Walton; 3 nephews Mark, Robbie and Dale Jr.

He was preceded in death by his sister in law Dorthy Walton.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 11:00am in the Hollisterville Cemetery, 37 Stanet Rd. Moscow.
