Roseann Caridad

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roseann M. Caridad, 84, of Lake Ariel who left this world on March 4, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born on June 9, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Anthony “Gaetano” and Elizabeth “Mae” Gazzillo.
Roseann was a cherished member of the Hideout community for 31 years, where she made many friends and acquaintances. She was very active throughout her years playing bocci, darts, bowling, singing and dancing with the Legends. Roseann loved her vacations, traveling throughout the United States with her husband for many years, and they also went on many cruises.
A talented florist by trade, Roseann dedicated many years of her life to creating beautiful arrangements that brightened the hearts of those around her. She was employed at Linderman Florist and other New York flower shops, where her innate creativity and passion for flowers flourished, leaving a lasting impact on the lives she touched.
Roseann is survived by her loving husband, Gary Caridad; her devoted son, Stephen Caridad and his wife, Dawn; Her grandchildren Gary “Bud” Caridad and his wife Jennifer, Roseann Caridad, Philip Caridad, Sabrina Cadorna and her husband Alvin; and her great-grandchildren Darcy, Anthony, Nicholas, Michael, Wyatt, Jacob, Elliana, Sophia and little Gary. Her family was the joy of her life, and the memories they made together will be cherished forever.
Roseann was preceded in death by her son Gary Caridad, as well as Gary’s wife Dorothy.
In honoring Roseann’s life and legacy, funeral services will be held on Friday, March 7 at 11AM at at Saint Thomas More Church, Lake Ariel. Family and friends may call the Morning of the Funeral Mass from 9 to 10:40AM at the James H. Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to her favorite organization, St Joseph’s Center Foundation in her name www.stjosephscenter.org
A reception at “R” Place will follow the Mass to continue the remembrance of Roseann’s life and the love she shared with all who knew her. Private interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island.
Roseann will be profoundly missed, but her warmth, kindness, and creative spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones. May she rest in eternal peace.
