Roy Fuzzy Schaffer

Roy “Fuzzy” Schaffer, Sterling, died Sunday in the Allied SNC after an illness.

Born 1954 in Scranton, he was the son of Charlotte Hollister Schaffer of Sterling and the late Eugene H. Schaffer and he attended the Jericho Independent Church.  He had been employed by Arlington Industries.   He had been a member of the Hamlin Fire and Rescue Company and loved to hunt and fish.

Also surviving are sons James of Sterling and Anthony of New York; sisters Eileen Smilnak of Scott Twp and Louise Mulea of Elizabethville; brothers Chris of Sterling, Carl of Maplewood and Lloyd of Sterling; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held private at the convenience of the family in the Jericho Independent Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hamlin Fire and Rescue Company

Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
