Seymour Metsky, Lake Ariel, died Thursday in the Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center after an illness.   He and his wife Arlene would have celebrated their 45 th wedding anniversary in December.

Born in Newark, NJ in 1923 he was the son of the late Charles and Rose Applebaum Metsky.   He was the owner and operator of the Canterbury Lounge in N. Arlington, NJ.

He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in World War II.

Also surviving are three daughters; a son;  a brother; four grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be private in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Interment with Military Honors will take place in the East Canaan Cemetery, South Canaan.
