Sinead R. McManus, 27, of Dickson City, sadly died Saturday of a drug overdose.

Born 1991 in Scranton, she was the daughter of Thomas McManus and his wife Shawna and Terri Heal McManus all of Lake Ariel.   She was educated in Dunmore schools and was of the Catholic faith.  She was currently employed at 5 Guys in Dickson City.

Sinead will be remembered for her outgoing personality, her kind manner and her mentoring and help for others struggling with addiction.  She and her mother had the dream of opening up a restaurant in order to serve the community and especially help those battling addiction through giving them a place to eat, rest or share their struggles.

Also surviving are a sister Erin McManus of Lake Ariel;  maternal grandmother Ruth Heal;  paternal grandmother Janice McManus;  aunts, uncles, cousins; countless friends.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Robert Heal; paternal grandfather Thomas McManus; aunts Kim Wieble and Sherry Nygard.

A celebration of Sinead’s life will be held Saturday October 6 th at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel

Friends may call Saturday from 10am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions may be made to a sober house, rehabilitation center or to Just Believe Recovery Center in Carbondale with the hope of helping someone in need.
