Suzanne Mccall

Suzanne McCall of Lake Ariel died Sunday evening at Creekside Healthcare and Rehab Center, Carbondale following an illness.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Trycoski Thomas, she had worked at Mt. Airy Lodge in the Poconos and then Maid-Rite Corp in Scranton. After relocating to San Diego, CA she worked for Pulse Engineering for 20 years. Then after moving back to Lake Ariel she worked for Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center and then Howe, Inc. until she retired.  Suzanne’s grandparents purchased a farm in Lake Ariel in the l930’s lived there until they died leaving the farm and land to Suzanne’s mother, aunt and uncle. Subsequently the land was divided and sold. When Suzanne came to Lake Ariel to bury her mother she learned the big barn on what had been their property had been converted to a house on two beautiful acres. Sometime later she learned the house was for sale and she bought it. Suzanne then retired from her job in San Diego, moved to Lake Ariel to live in the house and continue the renovation. She lived there in her beautiful home in her beloved Lake Ariel enjoying the country life with many friends and activities until her passing. She will be missed by many.

Surviving are a brother Ron; an aunt Jean; niece and nephew Jacquie and Brock; cousins Michael, Michelle, Marty, and Chester.

Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

Funeral services will be held in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow.
