Theresa J. Pappas Janeczek

Theresa J. Pappas, of Coplay and formerly of Lakeville, died Tuesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. Her husband of 65 years Anthony V. Pappas died in 2018.

Born in Dickson City, daughter of the late Peter J. and Anna Kuchinski Janeczek, she was a member of St. Thomas More/St. Mary’s Parish Community. Theresa was a dedicated spouse and Loving Mother and Grandmother.

Also surviving are daughters, Debra Fabri and her husband, Elliot, of Shippenville, PA.; and Sharon Sowers and her husband, Lars, of Coplay, PA.; son-in-law, Gregory Misiura, of Hop Bottom, PA.; daughter-in-law, Teresa Pappas of Greentown; sister, Mary Ann McGraw; grandchildren, Elliot and Lauren Fabri; Jennifer Pappas and Stephanie Pappas – Rogers; Linda, Christine and Gregory Misiura and Quentin Sowers; great-grandsons, Cooper and Beau Misiura.

She was preceded in death by son’s, Anthony Pappas Jr. and Mark A. Pappas; daughter, Joan Misiura; grandson, Anthony “Tony” Fabri; sister, Josephine Janeczek; brothers, Stanley, Walter, Paul, Joseph, Peter, and Anthony Janeczek;

All CDC and State guidelines will be strictly enforced, including the mandatory use of facial coverings and proper social distancing.

Please be prepared to pay your respects in a timely manner while refraining from physical contact. Once you have paid your respects it is kindly asked that if you are staying for the Mass to take your seat or we respectfully ask you to exit the church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel, by the Rev. Stephen Stavoy.

A memorial gathering will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Inurnment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lake Ariel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
