Thomas A Batchelor

Thomas A Batchelor, Ledgedale, passed away unexpectedly at home after being stricken ill.

Born 1950 in Scranton he was the son of the late David and Mabel Frisbie Batchelor and was a 1968 graduate of the Lake Consolidated School, Lake Ariel. Upon graduation, Tom enlisted in the service. He was a proud United states army veteran. Tom was a 29yr member of the American Legion Post 311, Hawley, PA. Tom got his CDL and then began his career with the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company.  He started as a meter reader and then worked his way up to being a drilling rig operator setting poles for the company. Tom loved his job, and the friends he made there.

Surviving are a brother Ted and his wife Cheryl of Lakeville; sisters Laurel Eime and husband Arthur of Bath and Susan Klonoski and husband John of Ledgedale; nephews and niece David, Richard, Edward, Kim and Jason; great nieces and nephews, an uncle, Alton Frisbie, cousins and countless friends.

He was also preceded in death by his nephew Barry Klonoski.

Religious Services and Military Honors will be held Monday at 2:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Monday from Noon until the time of service in the funeral home.

Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst .

In lieu of flowers the family strongly suggests Memorial contributions be made to the Ledgedale Volunteer Fire Company 529 Goose Pond  Rd. Lake Ariel, Pa 18436
