William Bauer, Sr., Lake Ariel, 71, passed away Tuesday in the Geisinger Community Medical Center after being stricken ill. His wife of 40 years is the former Jane Marshall.
Bill was born December 26, 1953 in Boyertown and was the son of the late Gerald and Rowena Thomas Bauer. Bill graduated from Boyertown High School and went on to work as welder for the Bally Case and Cooler Company, and Boyertown Fernace Company, and worked locally for Locklin Gas Station in Hamlin and the Exxon Mobil Gas Station in Mt. Cobb. Bill was a member of the former Cortez Methodist church.
Also surviving Bill are his beloved children William Bauer Jr., Kevin Bauer and Cassandra Spencer and her husband Larry; his three beautiful grandchildren. his brother Tim Bauer and sister Nancy Bauer Fenstermaker.
Bill was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He loved the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers. He had a great knowledge of the inner workings of each team and the players. He was also a great fast pitch softball player. He will be greatly missed. We all LOVE YOU
