William J. Miller, Sr.

William J. Miller, Sr., of S. Canaan, died Friday morning at the home of his daughter in
Richmond, VA. His beloved wife, Janice Helen Miller, preceded him in death in 1995.
Born in Walkill, NY, he was the son of the late Russell and Lorraine Dingman Miller. Prior
to his retirement, he had been employed as a truck driver and with the United States Postal
Service. William was a decorated and honorable United States Army veteran who served our
country during the Vietnam War. He continued his dedicated service as a member of the
Army National Guard.
He is survived by his children Shannon Elizabeth-Cleek of Richmond, VA, William J. Miller,
Jr. and his wife Tammy of Newfoundland, David K. Miller of Scranton and James V. Miller
and his wife Kathleen of Blakely; six grandchildren Justin, Nathan, Darren, Samantha, James,
and Billy; one great-granddaughter Carmella.
Friends may call Sunday from 2:00-4:00pm at the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity
Rd. Lake Ariel, PA 18436.
Family and Friends who will be attending the funeral may gather on Monday morning at the
James Wilson Funeral Home to process to Fairview Memorial Park. The procession will
leave the Funeral Home precisely at 10:30am. Anyone going in the procession should be at
the funeral home no later than 10:15am.
Graveside Military Services and Honors will be rendered by the United States Army Funeral Honors Detail at Fairview Memorial Park 111 State Route 435 Elmhurst Twp., PA 18444.
