Winifred Ware, Taylor, passed away Saturday evening at her home in Taylor after an illness. She was the widow of Arthur Ware Sr who died in 1975.

Winnie was born January 21, 1936, in New York City and she was the daughter of Adolf and Winifred Miller Mayer. She was a woman of great faith and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Taylor prior to its closing. A talented seamstress, she was well known for her custom draperies throughout the area.

Surviving are her sons Arthur Ware, Jr., James Ware and his wife Rosemary, Michael Ware, and Thomas Ware and his wife Janet; Daughter-in-law, Ruth Ware; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings Cathy, Johanna "Chris", Philip and Susan. Daughter-in-law Charlotte Ware.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10am in Divine Mercy Parish at St. Joseph's Church 312 Davis Street, Scranton, PA 18505.

Friends may call Saturday morning from 9am until the time of the Mass.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairview Memorial Park Elmhurst

In lieu of flowers the family encourages me memorial contributions to be made in St Jude Children's Hospital

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the Vanston and James funeral home Scranton
